Some Controversial Essays I Wrote In 2001-2002 in Response to the Tragic Events of 9-11
I often get the feeling that the reason I am attacked with Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) is that certain of
my countrymen feel that I am some sort of terrorist and traitor. Nothing could be further from the truth, but
in trying to understand why someone would think that, I have been lately thinking about my old writings in
response to the tragedy of September 11th.
As I'm sure you're well aware, when the events of September 11th first happened, our country was in a state
of fear and panic, and I shared in that collective mood. It was a very different and volatile time. So when you
read these documents, please bear that in mind. My views now are, on most of the issues discussed, quite different.
Understand also that my intent was to be helpful and that my heart was full of good intentions when I
wrote and emailed these essays to the White House and/or FAA. Nevertheless, I am older and wiser now, and can
see how the act of my even sending such unsolicited advice could be interpreted as haughty, arrogant, and so on. Let
me add to the list of adjectives the word "foolish" as well.
My mindset at the time was to try as best I could to stick to principles of cold logic uninfluenced by emotion,
as difficult (or impossible) as that might have been under the circumstances of our nation being under attack. In so
doing, I think I pretty much managed to offend everyone on the political spectrum. You will find some essays that
make many conservatives angry, and still others that will offend liberals. In fact I was trying at the time not to
adhere to any particular political ideology but rather to be logical at all times. I certainly feel that, after
reading these essays again now, I did not always achieve that.
I have put all the essays together into one zip file for your review. I am fairly sure, but not 100%, that these
represent all the essays I wrote and disseminated at the time, because I even managed to save a "No Subject" one.
I have not edited these essays--you will find misspellings and typos--except to add a blank line or two for readability,
and to change the format to PDF files. For those emails that included attachments, I have included the attachments
separately in a subfolder called "Attachments."
If you have any questions whatsoever--as always--please do not hesitate to contact me.
The essays can be downloaded in one zip file found here.
